well, halloween was a blast
currently i am working on a project of mine, entitled 'Bone Broke Books'
the concept is to produce a series of mini books on a complete budget. mini zines, small books, mini posters, foldouts etc.
I shall post some work in progress up asap

with this provoke change project, i am thinking about how people could potentially use tattoos to advertise more than just personal things.. branding and logos..

These are for a 'provoke change' project.
I met this guy yesterday at work who had one of the worst tattoo's I have ever seen. He started talking to me because of one of mine he had seen, and then proceeded to show me his. (I dont care) It was a japanese Koi, and was so awful I didn't know what to say to him. I wish I had a picture to show the extent of this eyesore. But anyway, this brings me to the point of how mainstream tattooing has become. Anyone can get one. Literally, anyone.
Has tattooing lost it's magic charm? Its romanticism with criminal culture? Tattoo's are about Pirates. Thieves. Vagabounds. Lovable rebels. Not 17 year old kids thinking they are the next Scott Campbell, Mark Mahoney, Les Skuse or Horiyoshi III.
Bring it back gentle.

summer vacation

so.... summer is here. and im working 6 - 7 days a week.
which is really disheartening, as i have been able to do pretty much no drawing in the last few weeks at all.
not good.
but, i have booked my new tattoo in.
at kingsway tattoo, bath.
5th september. cant wait!
